He finds it
“A very connected touch… his ability to find tension in my body and release it.” The hunt for where the problem actually lives is most of the work.
One therapist, working out of one room in east Chico, with a clientele built almost entirely on people telling other people to go see him.
Isaac Clipper is a California Certified Massage Therapist (CAMTC #93008, currently active) and a Reiki Master. He trained at Chico Massage School, and spent his early years in practice inside a Chico collective of healers before opening a room of his own.
Kinetic Freedom has been that room since 2023: no associates, no rotating staff, no front desk. Whoever you book, it's Isaac.
The name is the philosophy. Kinetic for movement, freedom for what's left when the restriction comes out of it. Most people arrive because something has stopped moving the way it used to: a hip that flares after long runs, a neck that has spent a decade at a desk, a back that hasn't been right since the collision.
The work runs to chronic pain, athletes and injuries: deep tissue, myofascial release, cupping, and rehabilitation alongside physical therapy. Sessions start soft and warm the tissue before going deeper, and clients are told what he's finding as he finds it. One of the things that comes up most often in reviews is that he explains, and that he listens.
Alongside massage, Isaac holds the Reiki Master level and offers energy work as its own booking. It is not upsold at the table; people who want it, book it.
“A very large point of focus within the school is self-care and creating your own individual practice, which I don't believe can be found in many other places.”
Drawn from what people actually write in their reviews, not from a list of adjectives.
“A very connected touch… his ability to find tension in my body and release it.” The hunt for where the problem actually lives is most of the work.
“That perfect weight and pressure without sending you off the table.” Deep when deep is called for, never as a default setting.
“I liked that he educates you and listens.” You leave knowing what he found and what to do about it between sessions.
“Isaac goes with the flow, can be a conversationalist if you want to chat… but he will follow your lead.” Including the music.
Trail runners in the weeks before a race and the weeks after it. Desk workers whose shoulders have crept up towards their ears. People managing pain that has outlasted every explanation for it. And people putting themselves back together after a car accident.
That last group is worth naming: clients have had Isaac coordinate directly with their attorney and their insurer so the treatment side stayed simple while they focused on healing. If that's your situation, raise it before booking.
“Isaac helped me so much after my car crash. He made the whole process easy by working directly with my lawyer and insurance, which allowed me to focus on healing. I'm so grateful for his care and would highly recommend him!”
