Stress that won't switch off
When the body is fine but the nervous system hasn't stood down in weeks and sleep has stopped doing its job.
Reiki healing to help promote relaxation and provide management of stressful and painful emotions.
Reiki is a Japanese practice of energy healing. In a session you lie comfortably on the table, fully clothed, while Isaac works through a sequence of hand positions, resting lightly on the body or hovering just above it. There is no oil, no deep pressure, no manipulation of muscle or joint.
Most of a Reiki session is quiet. Some people talk, some fall asleep, some simply lie there and let the hour pass. All of those are normal and none of them are wrong.
Isaac is a Reiki Master. At Kinetic Freedom, Reiki is booked in its own right rather than sold as an add-on to a massage.
Reiki is used to promote relaxation and to help manage stressful and painful emotions. People book it for reasons a massage doesn't quite reach.

Loss, upheaval, burnout: times when what's needed is an hour of stillness held by someone else.
After surgery, injury or illness, or for anyone who wants the calm of the table without hands-on bodywork.
No. You don't have to hold any particular belief, and you won't be asked what you think about energy. Lie down, close your eyes if you want to, and take the hour as it comes.
Plenty of people book Reiki simply because an hour of undisturbed stillness is hard to find elsewhere.
Whatever you're comfortable lying down in for an hour. You stay fully clothed the whole time; soft, loose layers are ideal. Shoes come off; nothing else does.
Light, still contact (usually shoulders, head, arms, legs and feet), or hands held just above the body if you'd rather not be touched at all. Say which you prefer at the start and that's what happens.
Commonly: warmth, a heaviness in the limbs, the kind of drop that comes just before sleep. Sometimes very little during the session and a noticeable difference later that evening.
There is no correct experience, and nothing has gone wrong if you feel nothing dramatic.
They're separate bookings on the calendar, so book them one after the other if you'd like both in a day. If you're unsure how to arrange it, call (530) 715-1180 and Isaac will sort the timing.
